Conference history

Starting to sell Digital Signage solutions, DigiSky company realized that its clients didn’t know anything about this technology. First screens only began to appears in Russian retail, but no one knew what for these screens are, how to choose the right screen, to install it, to use it and what to show on it. Deciding to educate Russian retailers, DigiSky took participation in numerous events dedicated to Digital Signage, which where powered by special event agencies. But end-users nearly didn’t come to such highly specialized events. Then, in 2011 year, the decision to organize its own conference was made. DigiSky decided to organize the conference that would be interesting for Digital Signage’s end-users from different vertical markets such as retail, shopping malls, QSR, DIY, financial sector, HoReCa etc. This idea was supported by others system integrators, distributors and software/hardware manufactures not only in Russian but worldwide.

For the first time the conference was held on 31st of May, 2011 in Korston hotel Moscow and had a great success. 200 attendances from different business areas visited the first “Digital Signage – no alternative” conference. The conference received lots of positive feedbacks and became an expected annual event. Since 2013 year the conference is supported by leading European DOOH association OVAB Europe (Out-of-home video advertising bureau).

Today Digital Signage Moscow conference “Digital Signage – no alternative!” is presentations from the world-known DOOH experts, the latest news and actual questions. It is the place where DOOH industry professionals and representatives from different vertical markets meet each other to discuss innovations, to share their experience, to make new acquaints which bring to new projects.
